Ever since we got married, Drew and I have talked about going camping together as a family. I was always (ok...MOST of the time) willing to go, but we just never could seem to make it work! Well, our ward was doing the ward campout, so we decided to go a day early, and make a couple day camping trip out of it. The girls were SO excited. Seriously...we left around 4 pm, and from the moment the girls woke up, they were asking, When are we leaving? When are we leaving?? We went up to Garden Valley, which is about 1 1/2 away...perfect camping distance! We went up with a friend of ours and his daughter (Kylee's friend Sarah), and his bro-in-law. We found the PERFECT campsite...right on the river, beautiful! So, we started setting up camp.

This little dude was AMAZING for the 3 days we were there...seriously, not even a peep! He slept so great, loved being outside and just was a rockstar! :)

These girls were so funny. They each had a flashlight and were going on "bear hunts". They had so much fun!

The next morning Kylee was up BRIGHT and EARLY! Even after going to bed SO LATE. She helped us make breakfast and thought it was pretty cool to be making sausages and pancakes outside!
After breakfast, the guys took the little girls down to the river to do some fishing and wadding in the water. Drew was only able to get a couple pics...then my batteries died! Kaden and I enjoyed a nice nap back at camp!!

Since my dang batteries were dead and I forgot to bring more, we didn't get any pictures of the ward campout...dang! But we had a blast and definitely are going to be camping more often! Anyone want to join us?!?!!

HOW FUN! We have our ward campout next month and I can't wait! Looks beautiful where you camped. That is one thing I definitely miss about Idaho...lots of different BEAUTIFUL places to camp! It seems like everyone here just wants to camp on the beach. UGH SAND!
